Safeguarding
ELSCM works with children, young people and adults at risk across all its programmes. Their safety comes first.
Our commitment
We are committed to safeguarding every child and adult who takes part in our programmes, concerts and events. Everyone involved with ELSCM, including tutors, volunteers and trustees, shares that responsibility.
How we keep people safe
- All tutors are DBS checked.
- Under-18s join through a parent or guardian, who gives consent and an emergency contact.
- We publish photos only where consent is recorded.
- There is no private messaging between adults and children on our platforms.
- We collect only the personal data we need, and store it securely.
Raising a concern
If a child or adult is in immediate danger, call 999.
To raise a concern with ELSCM, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Fiona Pacquette, on 0300 102 0004 or at info@elscm.co.uk, marking your message "Safeguarding".
You can also call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000. Children and young people can call Childline free on 0800 1111.
