Chikezie Chike-Michael
Chikezie sang tenor from the age of nine and began formal singing lessons at 16, quickly becoming his choir's lead soloist. He went on to lead a male double-quartet a cappella group.
At the University of Ibadan he sang in the University Choir under the bass Christopher Oyeshiku, a fellow of Trinity College of Music, who trained him in musicianship, vocal technique and choral conducting. He led the university chorale ensemble from 1998 until he moved to England in 2002.
He has competed internationally in Italy and Spain, sung opera in the UK and France, and performed as bass soloist in oratorios by Handel, Mendelssohn, Bach and Haydn, including Messiah at Hampstead Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2014. He teaches voice at ELSCM and leads choral training for the community projects.
