Fiona D. Pacquette

Fiona has managed ELSCM since it was founded in 2015 and leads all five of its programmes. She grew up in East London, began piano lessons as a teenager at Central Foundation Girls' School, and played cello with the London Schools Concert Orchestra and London Schools String Orchestra.

She studied music and liturgical music, with special honours in composition, at the Colchester Institute School of Music under Professor William Tamblyn. More than 25 years ago she began teaching piano and theory under John Prince at Hampstead Seventh-day Adventist Church, and went on to run the John N Prince Music School there for over two decades.

Fiona directs the HACS Philharmonia Chorus and the HACS Philharmonic Orchestra. She wants others to have the opportunities she had, because playing an instrument and writing music are skills for life.
